About Norwood Machine

Norwood Machine has been in business in Wichita Falls since 1954. Seventy years later it is still a working job shop: parts come in broken and go out fixed.

Owner: Larry Carroll, environmental portrait at a machine

The owner

Larry Carroll owns and runs the shop. He came up through concrete and welding, went out on his own in 2002, and bought Norwood about six years ago. He still does the work. When you bring in a job, you are talking to the person who will machine it.

How the shop works

This is a small shop with a small crew. The people who take the job in are the people who do the work. You get honest answers about what is worth fixing and what is not, and your job gets owned from start to finish.
